How common are they?....What's the going rate for one?...Do any Highroaders have personal experience with them?....How would you rate them against other 1911's of the past and present?Does anybody have pics of their personal XSE's?

I have an all-stainless Commander XS----not XSE----from what I gather the XS's are fairly rare---made for less than a year------while the XSE's have been in production for several years now.

The XSE I saw recently was a little over-priced---but then everything in that particular shop is over-priced.

My XS is one heck of a pistol----not quite sure where the XSE's rate---never tried one.

I have a SS Gov't. XSE that has functioned flawlessly with 4 different types of magazines (from Wilson combat to factory) and 5 different types of ammo over about 500 rounds. I am very pleased. haven't seen any blued XSEs. come to think of it, this was the ONLY XSE I have seen for sale in the 2 shops I frequent.
