Instead of closing down so many popular threads, why don't you instead unlock them and move them to a more appropriate board? This will make people a lot happier. Please consider it. There is no reason to close such good, popular threads.

The moderators have neither the ability nor the time to move OT posts to "more appropriate boards". It would be much easier on everybody if the posters of OT topics were to post them on the "appropriate boards" from the start.

Moved to Technical Support.

Blain, are you serious?

Do you have any idea how much work that would be for the Moderators? It would border on the absurd.

Blain, are you suggesting moving threads to more appropriate fora on THR, or do you want moderators to cut and paste threads on different boards, like FFF or AR15?

If the former, be at ease. We already do this. If a thread is locked, chances are it's because the moderator believes that thread doesn't belong on THR at all.

If you want us to cut and paste to other boards. . . . well, you may be underestimating the amount of work that would be. Much easier for the author of the thread to put his thread where it belongs than for a few moderators to do it for everyone.
