I have now found the window of opportunity to edit a post without the "Last edited by... " footnote is four minutes or less. Is this a default left unchanged, or a conscious decision by the founders and staff? If deliberate, I neither approve nor disapprove (not my house) but I am curious about the thinking that led to the decision. I can definitely attest to the heightened "think twice, proof read thrice, post once" reaction on my part. I am also composing much more in my word processor and cutting and pasting to THR.

Thanks for the heads-up Huck. Four minutes seems a little short to me also. We'll see if a change is warranted.

Glad to be of help, but please be sure to consider my reaction well. The current time limit has prompted at least one member to greater care, a desirable effect that should not be lightly abandoned.
