Definitely more. Even with the pinky finger extension on the magazine, recoil on the G29 is harsher, since its not a fixed finger extension like the G20 has, which is part of the grip.

10mm is great an all, I just don't like the Glocks, as far as grip feel. Hence, my sig-line! :D

There is definitely more recoil with the G29 over the G20, but I find it to be very controllable.
I have Hogue slip ons on both guns and I like them very much.
Sorry I can't give a better answer, but you won't be dissappointed if you get one.

Have both. My hands are wide and "pinky" hangs below -a grip extension mag baseplate will be tried soon - so two finger grip. Where G20 rotates around about wrist area, G29 has pivot closer to palm. Seems to kick up slightly more and quicker. Hardly an issue, the broad backstrap cushions and controls the movement very well.

I own a G29 and have shot the G20. I do think the G29 kicks a tad more, but the reason I like it over the G20 is because of the short grip and the fact that a can rest the pinky of my firing hand on the underside of the magazine in the gun. Most folks like a full grip, but I have found that being able to rest my pinky under the gun helps me to control the gun in recoil. It is as if you not only have a horizontal grip on the gun but also some vertical leverage as well. That's why I like the mini Glocks over the full size models. I like the G26 over the G19 or G17, and the G29 over the G20 for this reason. Just my .02

Good luck, and good shooting! The 10mm is a blast! :D

I have a G29 with a Pearce grip extension. I've never fired a Glock 20, but the 29 is quite manageable.

I'd recommend that you consider installing AGrip on your G29. I shoot .400 Cor-Bon through my G30, and I'd guess that the .400 Cor-Bon is pretty close in recoil to 10mm. I don't have any trouble with the recoil on my G30.
