Yowza. That was a whole lot of bang and flash. Nice round, nice gun. Had a chance to shoot one tonight. And this coming from someone who looks for the most flash and bang from his .357 magnum he can get.

Even better, try shooting one in a real-world defence scenario--say the interior of your car, without hearing protection, after dark.

Yeah..the potential for hearing damage has caused me to rethink my current carry pistol, a Glock 32. I'm not as worried about flash - the Gold Dots don't seem to create much of one.

Any links to /hard/ data on hearing damage caused by repeated discharging of firearms in close quarters, and how the 357SIG rates? I don't think I'd ever end up firing more than 5-6 rounds.
