My wife is not comfortable with carrying her gun on her person, and has also not yet found a method that she is satisfied with as far as comfort and not creating a huge bulge.

I know all of the negatives about purse carry, and she does as well, but I think it is coming down to that, and I would rather her be armed than not. I thought this would be a great option for purse carry, but it is not made for larger weapons.

She has a M&P9c and I would love to find a holster like this for purse carry, as she loves her fancy, modern designer handbags and wouldn't be caught dead carrying any of the current CCW purse options.

Does anyone know of something like this available for the M&P compact 9mm?

What about something like this one FIST offers: Ladys' Concealment Case (http://www.fist-inc.com/holsters/LADY%20CC.htm)

I like it because it looks like a makeup case and could be moved from bag to bag if necessary.

OR this one from Cornoado Leather: Sonoma Carry Wallet (http://www.coronadoleather.com/view.aspx?i=112&c=3&p=0)

It could be used by itself on her belt or over the shoulder and it could also be moved from one bag to another like a makeup bag.

Every now and then Coronado Leather has discounts on their purses (left-overs, one-offs) that are absolutely astounding.

I bought all three of my Coronado Leather purses that way.

Also might be worth checking out Wilderness Tactical's Safepacker.
