This was rumored to be a new product in early 2003. Well, it's now 2003 and I'm anxious to check this item out. Any word on the status?

Guy,

I've seen a couple magazine ads for it, but it's not in my new Midway flyer? Haven't seen a price listed anywhere.

I sent an email to Hornady asking for information. I couldn't find the reply they sent but basically it was "we don't know anything about it."

Go figure.
Stay safe.

There is a possibility that it is an aftermarket product not made by Hornady....like the Hulme case feeder for the Star, etc.

I've seen the ads in the magazines and it looks very nice. I"m just waiting for them to be available. Supposed to be in the $180 range.

Just received a reply from Hornady that they are hoping to have it available the end of January.

Where did you folks see the advertisement? There is nothing on the Hornady site as far as I am able to determine.

The December issue of Handloader Magazine has a Hornady ad on page 7, showing the case feeder. I also saw it in one of the other current magazines, but don't remember which one.

The Dillon electric casefeeder is only $172, so much for Hornady being less expensive.http://www.familyfriendsfirearms.com/vb/images/smilies/dunno.gif

The ad I saw was in Shotgun News in November or December.

I got the new Cabela's shooting catalog yesterday and they have the Hornady case feeder listed for $164.99. Guess it is cheaper than a Dillon:p

Stay safe.

My only question is will it fit the Projector or just the LaL

The feeder uses one of four plates depending on the size of the brass. The ad does not say whether one of the plates is included or whether they are sold separately.

Woudn't, by any chance, be a licensed knockoff of Dillon's shellfeeder?? Maybe even made by Dillon or whoever makes Dillon's shellfeeder?

Dillon knock-off? Hmmm. There is also a new Powder Cop by Hornady listed that looks like the RCBS lockout die.

I have used a Dillon powder measure on my ProJector press since I first bought it. Pretty soon, I"ll have to paint the red over with blue. Seems as though Hornady is trying to re-invent the 650.
