What guns did you see at the shop one day and decided to think it over, and when you came back it was gone and you were SOL?
Mine was a sweet little 38 s/w 3".......always regret thinking it over.:banghead:

just before Christmas a local store had a used ea. german makarov with 8 mags in nice shape for $185. I came home, researched it on TFL, was back there in a little over an hour. Why didn't I just buy it to begin with:confused: ...tom

A HK SOCOM, CA legal, for $1800. That was the most recent one, there have been a few over the years. But, I have also taken advantage of a few too.

> A nice 4" S&W 686 for $325, was gone by the time I decided I wanted it. Found one a few months later though.
> 6.5" orignal run S&W 610. Saw it at a show, was interested but unsure. Stopped by the shop the very next day and it was gone.
> Weatherby Orion II. Wasn't ready to shell out $850, even for this nice of a gun. By the time I was ready it was gone, naturally.
> Baby Eagle compact. CDNN had these for $280 for months, kept putting it off, now they're out.
> CZ 97B. At $400 it was a steal, but I saw it while picking up something else, and was broke.

This seems to happen a lot to me

It has happened quite a number of times. Last time I was looking at a GP100. Went home to think about it and went back that afternoon. Gone! I just tell myself that it wasn't meant to be. Another time I went back to buy a S&W semi-auto police trade in and it was gone but a Browning Hi-Power had just been put in the display case. It's now in my collection.

NIB Delta Elite for $425. I had just bought a S&W 610 and didn't have the extra cash for the DE. Have never seen one, and probably never will, as cheap.

I guess I don't have any regrets with handguns---if something speaks to me--I buy it on the spot----What?? No cash???----Lay-A-Way.

The other ones I look at--yup, that's nice and all---maybe when I get around to it---if its gone a few months down the road---no big deal.

Now if you are talking rifles---a few regrets there :(.

I didn't turn 21 before the Assault Ban of 2000, so couldn't get that USP TACTICAL.

A minty HK P9S for $450..

It haunts me to this very day.:banghead:

Nickle-plated Colt SAA. Local FFL got it in some sorta trade and woulda let me have it for ~$800. I had to wait & think about it.

He did some further research, turns out it belonged to an early Texas Ranger and it had quite a history. Estimated value $50,000.

Needless to say, he no longer wanted to sell it for $800.

That was the biggest one that got away. Other ones involve passing-up Steyr AUGs, H&K G3s, FNCs and Uzis before the ban.

About 1990 or so....A Colt Single Action Army New Frontier in .44 Special, 5.5" barrel - the one I have always wanted since reading Skeeter Skelton. $650 at the Ft. Worth Gun Show.

I was torn between it and a Smith .44 - had the cash, went back to get the Colt, and of course it was already gone.

I still haven't got one:banghead:

I can think of two that I regret: 1. 657 S & W 4in. for $ 250.00 in excellent condition and 2. 6 in. Colt Python, Royal Blue, mint cond. that a guy sold at a gun show for $300.00 to purchase a Walther .380 PPK for his wife.

P7M8 for half the current market price...

and a Kahr E9 less 40% of prevailing price. :(

A 99% condition Model 27 in original presentation box for $319. Saw it, asked if the price was correct. Drove home (20 minutes) and decided I had the money. Called back... gone.

Also a SIG 210, not sure which version. Pretty plain jane but it was 99% for $1,200. I don't really regret that too much. It was just more money than I had at the time.

Marlin 1895CB with custom trigger job, big loop lever and long range elevation sight plus original parts for $400. Same thing. We went to another shop in town, came back and it was gone. Thankfully, that buyer didn't keep it too long so I got it the third time the dealer sold it.

Missed a deal on a Smith Model 10 4". Some finish wear, but no other blemishes and very little "cylinder scratch" $150. Turned away from counter, got on cell-fone with spouse. Finished call, turned back around and watched another guy walk out with it.

WAAAAAAHH ! ! ! !:banghead:

I am relitivly new to this game and I have to say none. I have yet to see a good deal I guess thats because every dealer I have been to was either full of crap or tried to make me a felon while robbing me blind.

While home on Midtour I was checking out a local gunshop and looked at the displays twice. As I was eyeballing a nice Kimber I heard a guy ask to look at a Lady Smith .357. He ended up purchasing it for $275. I had actually been out shopping for another .357 for the wife. I figured that I would hook her up before I left with another of her favorite handguns. She's hooked on wheel guns expecially in .357.

So I kick myself in the rear cause I overlooked that there Lady Smith twice.

Geez, guess I shoudnt of been spending so much time drooling over the Kimber.
