Okay, I'm a big fan of Kel-Tec. I have wondered about the size of the PMR-30. It's roughly the size of a standard duty handgun, but a thinner grip than almost any standard duty piece.

Next to a P3AT.

There's been a lot of excitement, and many questions about the new KSG.

The LOP is long for me. The slide release, underneath the front of the trigger guard, works, but is rather abrasive. It might work great with shooting gloves, but definitely needs to be less sharp to not rip skin if used under stress.
Shot of the magazine tubes.

Expected MSRP is $880.

Next to the semi-fabled RFB. The RFB is a little longer. (The RFB does feel pretty good, btw.)

I know this is early to say this, but I may have already found my favorite firearm of the show. Ever since the PMR-30 was announced, the thought of a longer-barreled semi-auto .22 Magnum has been on my mind.

The RMR-30 is here, and it looks good and feels great. Currently the only magazines are the same as the PMR, 30 rounders, but I was told that higher-capacity magazines may be produced, and have been tested.

Expected MSRP is $575. It is not yet decided whether this will include the very nice pop-up iron sights on the display models.
The fold-out stock works, but currently only locks in the extended position, which I do see as a problem. KT is considering making several locking positions to adjust LOP.

It's the one RFB ever made!

How well does the KSG point?

RMR-30 plus a $200 tax stamp for SBR would be... ideal past all other civilian arms for a beater/truck gun that works well to 100 yards in a pinch. Nice photos, thanks for sharing. :)

I HAVE to have the KSG when it becomes available. That is cool!

Any ideas on how the KSG handles when loaded? Too much weight out front? How does it compare to an 870?

It is not yet decided whether this will include the very nice pop-up iron sights on the display models.

What sights are on it? They look like MBUS, but the reference to iron sights makes me think it must be something else.

The KSG gets me the most excited of those shown, but it would need to come it at the right price point. I own kel tecs and nothing about them even approaches the quality level I would expect for a gun costing $600+. The KSG either would need to sell for a lot less than that MSRP or be of MUCH better quality than any kel tec offering I've handled to date.

Did they say when they were going to release the RFB?:neener:

BR,

The SHOT samples are of course unloaded. That was Derek's question as well.

I love the idea of the KSG, can't wait for it to hit production stage. Any idea on the expected price for the KSG? I could probably justify around $400 to $600 max for a pump action shotgun.

+1000

i have handled a few keltecs and i was a little dissapointed. i love their designs, just not the quality. if they were to crack down on the fit and finish and quality of materials i would be racing to the gunshops to find a few.

even still; the KSG looks awesome! that is the only gun that i have seen in a long time that made sit up and go, "holy crap!:what: that is awesome!!!" even if it dosent feel as super solid as i would like i may still have to buy one just because there is nothing else like it out there!

I have to agree with you there. Nevertheless, I will probably pick one up in the next few months to use simply as an informal, fun plinker.

I my opinion they are one of a few innovative companies. Their prices are also very reasonable.

The LOP is long for me.

I read the KSG had a 13" LOP, already 1" shorter LOP than a regular stock 870.
The 870's Youth stock is 13".
Someone can always add LOP with larger pads or spacers but with a bullpup it certainly is hard to go smaller.

Just thought I would add perspective so people don't think it is longer than normal.

While you may have read that...my shotgun LOP is 13". The KSG is too long for me.

Rob, just enough.

Thanks JShirley, that is certainly disappointing to hear from someone who has actually been able to shoulder one.

I can never figure out if the reason why I don't find many of their guns below MSRP is due to the wholesaling pricing not being that far below msrp, or whether its the demand. The KSG looks awesome, but $800 for a pump action would be more than some would be willing to stomach. It is awesome though.

Weird as it is, that actually makes this gun a little more attractive to me, I'm 6'2" with monkey arms so LOP hasn't bothered me too much in the past and at times i've even added length to some guns

I my opinion they are one of a few innovative companies.

They definately one of the more innovative compnaies

Their prices are also very reasonable.

Their build quality on the kel tecs I've owned is definitely a reflection of their prices.

I can never figure out if the reason why I don't find many of their guns below MSRP is due to the wholesaling pricing not being that far below msrp, or whether its the demand.

Definitely demand, I've seen Sub 2Ks go for $400+, MSRP at the time was $400+ I looked was like a dealer friend told me he got them for $250 or so.

Kel-Tec keeps knocking them out of the park!

... too bad they seem to be having problems just pushing them out of the factory.

Kel-Tec wins in the innovation category for the past few years. If only other manufacturers would think outside the box and put out new ideas like these.

That 22mag rifle looks so awsome. GOTs to HAVE ONE.

It does feel great. Kel-Tec just really needs to add 2 more open locking positions to the stock, and have it also lock closed.

I wonder if I could get Kel Tec to replace the black stock on my RFB with the green one like on the one at the SHOT Show...
