Luger toggle top. Don't have one and don't want one, but that's not what you asked.

Off the top of my head, I would say ArmySon's 1911. Unique and beautiful at the same time.

I wouldn't say it was the best or the coolest, but my gold plated Desert Eagle gets the coolest vote by nongunowners.

December 27, 2002, 01:41 AM
This thing cought my eye a ways back. The cool factor is there anyhow...

Chewbacca's laser crossbow, or bowcaster.

Next, the Luger P08.

December 27, 2002, 03:13 AM
Yes,I have seen one of these. (In the form of a .jpg,;) )
It's a Heckler & Koch SMG II..:D

December 27, 2002, 03:24 AM
Pistol: Beretta 92. That thing has style.
Rifle: M4

December 27, 2002, 03:46 AM
I'm on a Sci-Fi kick right now, so anything future-istic is catching my eye lately, like the FN P90 or the Mateba.

As far as my favorite Cool Guns? Luger, Desert Eagle, Beretta, and Barett 50BMG.

AR15 and HK MP5SD are also in there.

Hmmm... well. That list could keep going all day...I'd better stop now. :)

Pistol: Springfield Armory 1911 Stainless/Cocobolo full-house Longslide.

Wheelgun: Mid Eighties S&W 686 8 3/8" Bbl. w/S&W checkered wood grips.

Rifle: TIE -- Marlin Lever .30-.30 and SA M1 Garand

P.S. The new Home feels real comfy!

December 27, 2002, 04:31 AM
The coolest looking FUNCTIONAL is the FN P90.

December 27, 2002, 05:10 AM
Semi-auto handgun:
near tie (the 3 alternate for me) between the 1911 (just about any config.), Beretta 84 in nickel, Beretta 92 in Inox.

(another tie) Colt Python, S&W blue K-frame .38s and .357s (M19 and M10 especially) and Colt SAA (and clones)

Winchester 1873 followed by the 94

Just about any O/U with a silver or chrome plated, engraved, receiver.

When I first saw one of these, the first thing that came to my mind was the word,Cool.
Your looking at a FN F2000 with an undermounted 40mm Grenade Launcher.
This thing looks like a Steyr Aug on steroids..:D

I've seen this gun in person at the Reno NRA convention gun show:

It's a heavily modified Blackhawk, Titanium cylinder and other parts, proper sights, chambered in 50AE. Just awesome. Weighs 26 ounces. "Recoil is not for the squeamish."

Pistol: Colt 1911 - the original, not the A1. Classic beauty.

Revolver: who doesn't think a snubbie is sexy? S&W 640 with a boron carbide finish.

December 27, 2002, 10:07 AM
I know they have their problems and they are WAY overpriced, but I just love the Steyr AUG. On the other end of the scale, I find the NAA Mini-Master to be pretty cool.

December 27, 2002, 10:10 AM
Revolver-wise, have to be either a Mateba or a Dan Wesson Silhouette.
Auto-wise, polished stainless Beretta, or polished deep blued 1911, both with wood grips

December 27, 2002, 10:35 AM
That FN wins, IMO, for the rifle catigory...but how about my wee shotgun?

December 27, 2002, 10:38 AM
Pretty hard to beat a minigun in coolness.

December 27, 2002, 10:57 AM
In the full auto catagory the FN P90 is way cool, but, as much as I hate to say it, I like the looks of the Ruger MP-9.

In a handgun I have always thought that the Walther GSP or OSP was the coolest looking.

Shotgun award would go to the Neostead pump.

For a rifle, although the Tavor we saw at the SHOT Show earlier this year comes in a compact version that looks a lot like the FN P90, is there really anything neater than a Barrett M82?

Semi: The Desert Eagle, hands down.

Rifle: Hmmmm...a certain AR15 pistol I know of.

Shotgun: Easy, SPAS 12. There is no other. :D

Oh yeah, wheel guns: Anaconda

December 27, 2002, 11:40 AM
For pistols, definitely a Mateba Unica 6 in .357, with a 6" barrel.

My personal favorite is the Tommy Gun, which I thought was named for me when I was a boy.

I like both the 1928 and M1 configurations.

Hk PSG 1, most 1911s and the coolest of all the M2 .50 BMG.

Revolver: Colt 1851 Navy w/squareback triggerguard.

Semiauto: Mauser C96

Rifle: An early flintlock Lancaster style longrifle

I'd have to say the coolist looking pistol I've seen is my dad's lightweight commander. there's something cool about a pistol where alll of the bluing and anodizing has worn off the front half of the frame and slide.

coolest rifle would have to be my dad's m-14. it's got a really cool Leaf pattern camo paint job, that's also kinda worn off.

coolest shotgun would have to be my mossberg, because it fits.

Sactown, I've got to ask. What is it?:)

I think the most attractive gun I've ever seen is the Cold Gold Cup Commander that Ned Christiansen built a while back. You can click the pic for a larger version.

Gewehr98's Enfield Sniper rifle is a gun I would be honored to have in my collection and I can't remember who posts the pic of two lovely Ruger No 1s but they're very nice as well.

Coolest? For the futuristic stuff, the Blaser R93 and the Whitefeather M-25 are both pretty neat.

December 27, 2002, 07:17 PM

These were pistols designed by Smoking Hole Pistol Design. I think they were down in Simi Valley, California. I don't think they're around anymore. I think they were building up pistols using SVI/STI lower and then milling uppers. Here's some more eye candy.

I traded it off for a Swedish AG-42B Ljungman. I already miss it. One last look at the old girl when it was still mine:

Here's another view of the alloy space rifle stock:

He hadn't put the barrel in it yet, just the Nesika Bay action.

Gewehr98, does that shiny beast have a name? :D

December 27, 2002, 08:13 PM
It's a project of a machine shop that specializes in intricate machining jobs. The guy will do one for anybody who waves enough cash under his nose. I'm sure it ain't cheap, considering that the Nesika Bay actions go for between $900-$1400. But I do want one, with either a Krieger or Obermeyer barrel. It's nice to want things, isn't it? :D

December 29, 2002, 04:18 PM
I really like the way the M4 looks when tricked out.

December 29, 2002, 05:05 PM
