Is there any reason why there isn't an off-topic forum? Thanks

There are hundreds of them all over the Web.

But you mean an off topic forum on THR. Since THR is "dedicated to the discussion and advancement of responsible firearms ownership," why would it want to waste bandwidth on anything else? Bandwidth does have costs associated with it, you know.

Well then at least change the message under the general forum stating "Posts must be related to firearms" or enforce the rule.

Careful, Beav. You might just get what you asked for...

I always wished TFL would have had a General non-firearm forum.:(

1. glocktalk
2. that big room commonly called Real Life, complete with friends, maybe coworkers, and maybe even a sheeple or two.

Yeah.

'Cause this is a "gun board."

Mayhaps, at times, the thread/s may become "off-topic" due to extraneous personal or world topics that do shake us up some.

I like THR to stay a "gun board."

Not to say I didn't feel overwhelmed at the support of those who chimed in regards my son's heart transplant. Somehow, we are a community/perhaps a family, joined through our love of freedom - perhaps, guns may just be a small part of that ..... Shane's transplant = hugely off-topic.

But, y'all made a tremendous difference. If nothing else, knowing we were not alone through the ordeal. A very personal aspect I can never repay. An expansion of family .....
