Was out "prospecting" a little while ago and stumbled across a pretty nice deal. Surefire G2 Nitrolon Black for $30. Gobbled that baby up. It was marked down because someone had misplaced the paperwork/packaging...oh well! Now, I'm back at my desk playing with it...
Anything special I should know about this thing?

Yeah, don't drop it - especially when it's on. Bulbs are expensive.

I had an 8NX which is the rechargeable version. I hated it.

The plastic ones just didn't feel right, too stiff, not like their old black aluminum ones.

Not as tactical as the Millenium, either, but those are $130.

If you want more light at the expense of run time, try the P61 high output lamp. If the light is just for GP, stick with the P60 bulb that came with it.

If you use it regularly and for long periods of time, there is even a rechargeable option available to you. If the light sits for extended periods of time, stick with the lithiums.

I got a similar deal on my G2, and then went and ordered an E2e for EDC. These are so much more handy than a mag-lite.

alex hamilton took his to africa too and it came in extra handy. I have the Executive Outdoorsman which is only 25L but has nice long battery life. also have the g2 65 lumen. they make a good combo. I got a christmas special executive elite for a friend and he is crazy about it.

Don't set it face down on anything flamable while it is on. Says that right in the manual...

Nice looking "Christmas Special", mec. You are a generous person to give such a nice gift.

Well what rots me is that he took the picture of the Seecamp and watch and I'm the one who is supposed to be the photographer. His composition and execution are very nice, don't you think?

anyway, here's my 65Lcombat light with a Springfield A milspeck

Hide it from Skunk because its a "tactical light" :) Surefires are awesome I have 4 of them. :) All 6P type frames.

Just a word to the bargain hunters - the SureFire G2 is street priced now at around 29.99 - and is a best buy.

At that price, there is no reason why every vehicle, room, and person should not have one.

Face it, the batteries last 10 years. The lights are dirt cheap. What valid reason do you have not to get one?
