Have any of the upstate SC members here been to the Greenville Gun Club?

I've been wanting to get involved in some practical shooting type friendly competition for a while now. (Punching a single target is only fun for so long). I looked up the Greenville gun club online, at it looks like they have a match every month, and the next one is on June 20th. The requirements are not that difficult: newbies are welcome, and all you need is a box stock gun with 40 rds worth of mags. I've got another preban coming for my old Taurus, so I was hoping to shoot at the GGC on the 20th. Anyone have any experience with this? I emailed the coordinator, but he hasn't gotten back to me yet.

I can't help you, but I am interested too. I shot in the Ashville Gun Club's M1 Garand clinic back in May and I know they have a good list of matches, including a highpower match every month that costs $15 and non-members are welcome. I am not a Greenville Gun Club member because I live about 20 miles away and the Pickens County DNR range is free (Pistol and Rifle) and a little closer. I wouldn't mind a little competition though, and would like any rifle or pistol competition.
