I have a 1917 Cutlass, seems well made for a military piece. Waiting for warm weather so I can attack some watermelons. Can't comment on the others as I haven't seen any and do yourself a favor, checkout the various vendors on the web, there is a big price differential from one to another.

Everything I have heard about their swords is good. You can order direct from Cold Steel.

If you're interested in a sword with some real self-defense potential, the Cold Steel sword cane is pretty cool.

I got the stainless steel pommel; the cane is very sturdy fiberglass, elegant looking in black, with a button latch release for the blade. The blade is a needle sharp 24" poignard style-- purely for "stickin', not nickin", although I wouldn't want to get whipped accross the face or forearm with it. Everything is tight; there is no looseness or wobble between handle and cane, and deployment of the blade is instantaneous. It is a very serious weapon, if you don't have your .45 with you.

I've carried mine all over the place, including black collar events, and received only compliments about what an elegant looking cane I have.

See www.theknifestore.com for a price of $84.50 (compare to Cold Steel....).
