I recently purchased a beltster from bandera leather company.

I had been having problems concealing under a T-shirt in this hot climate. So I plunked down my $65 and ordered one.

Each belt is custom made to fit your make of gun and waist size.

I have been carrying this way exclusively for a few months now and I am pleased. Carrying a full size .45 is very comfortable
in most clothing stlyes in this manner.

I put this rig to the ulitmate test and wore it to the two towers
movie. 3.5 hours sitting on this hunk of metal posed no comfort problems.

The fellow making this product stands behind his work and
answered all my questions.

Just wanted to pass this along

thanks for sharing. ive never seen one of those. looks pretty interesting.

there is no way to adjust the position of the gun is there? seems that youd have to determine where you were going to place the gun before having the belt made. after that youd be stuck w/ either an off-center belt buckle or a gun that might need to be just a little bit farther in either direction. am i right?

still, if you can find the sweet spot it looks like a good, slim, low profile carry method.

Yes the cool thing about the beltster is that he will make it
however you want and in the position you desire.

If you still aren't happy with it he says mark it with chalk
send it back and he will fix it for free

I first saw it a few years ago, as a friend used one for his 1911s. I've met the owner at some S.A. gunshows. Quite a gentleman. I'll be using one as soon as I get an appropriate pistol.

As you can see . . . . . I've been digging deep in the archives.

As for the Beltster - can anyone else chime in and speak about the beltster???

I currently have an HBE Leatherworks Com3 ont the way for my CZ PCR. But I have others that I'm interested in carying.

Just curious - What are your thoughts on the Beltster??

And what about firearm retention? It seems as though firearm is retained by belt tension alone. Is the outside piece of leather stiff/boned?

The beltster uses a slightly undersized stiff leather "pocket" shaped for the
particular gun.

It is a little tough to break in at first but there has never been a retention problem even when reaching and bending.

I've just lost 65 Lbs so my beltster is kind of useless unless I want to
wear the gun at 3:00
