Im seriously considering one and in the UK they grow on trees here. I was wondering what range they accuratly go out to and what the MOA is @ 100yrds.
Thanks
Adam

If they're that plentiful, buy one and see... :p
I can only hold my 2A1 to about 4"-5" with iron sights. They are more battle sights, not meant for precise shooting, at least the Enfields in standard guise.

Depending on the gun and it's condition and you, you could expect anything from 4" groups down to MOA.
I have Enfield's of all stripes. My '43 Maltby that's scoped will shoot MOA with handloads very easily. It'll do just over 1" with the SA surplus ammo.
Most, however, aren't quite that accurate. A 2" group at 100 yards with the adjustable rear-sight would be typical if you're shooting good ammo....which I gotta tell you is pretty good in the milsurp world.

I rebedded the lower stock to the barreled action on my 2A1, and it averages just a little over 1" at 100 yards.
Where it excels is when I use the artillery sight shooting longer than 500 yards. The range accuracy is downright scary. I can keep bullets on a approximately 2' area right at 600 yards.
Of course this is a .308 rifle, so, YMMV...

If you can get a post-war Mark2 expect 2" at 100 yards. A Longbranch (Canadian wartime) should approach this. much depends on the ammo, cordite loaded stuff is hard on the rifle and often not that accurate.
