Thanks. 1977. Guy said it was in the 1970's. Happens to be the year I graduated high school. Haven't shot it yet. It is in excellent condition. Got 200 rounds of ammo thrown in the deal along with the reloading dies(sp). My brother -in -law is the reloader.:D

"...My brother-in-law is the reloader..." Ask him if he'll let you use his stuff, then load your own. Trust me. It ain't the same. When it comes to handloads, trust nobody's but your own.

Thanks everyone. I got out in the front yard today and shot my Marlin. It was easy. No kick to think of. Yea I always think a rifle is going to knock me down or a handgun will break my wrist. I admit I'm a female and very pr0-gun but still my brain says watch out. But so far I have never felt my wrist give a little or have I ever felt near to getting knocked down. And I have shot alot of firearms(plus own many). Next I'm gonna get a .50BMG rifle just because I can shoot the dang thing.:D
