Hey guys. Had a strange problem with my CZ at the range. A magazine just would not lock into place. Tried forcefully a few times. Turns out a magazine that looks very similar to my CZ magazine, But has a different follower and might be slightly larger was mixed in with my CZ mags. How seriously did I hamfist my gun trying to slam the wrong mag in with my palm? Thanks for the help.

Should not be a problem. Check the gun for unusal bends but I can't see where it should effect your gun.

I doubt it did anything to the gun.
The magazine, on the other hand... :uhoh:

Did it actually go in the mag well or were you wedging it in? You probably did significant damage to the mag. If it went in and didn't lock, there's the possibility that you could have damaged the ejector. Field strip the gun and look at the ejector carefully. If you broke the ejector, it will fall away immediately. If you bent it, the gun will be unusually "tight" coming apart and going back together. There's not much else you could have messed up.

Thanks guys. It fit in mag well, it just didn't want to go in that last few mm to lock in place. I'll check out the ejector. The only damage to the magazine was a thin inch long scratch in the blueing. After I found out what was wrong my gun functioned perfectly with the right magazines. Now I just have to remember what gun this magazine is for.

How bad is it to load Double Tap ammo in a G36 mag and be able to shoot it?
