Hey folks,

As you shooters know, the front of these rifles have a pinned bayonet, pop-up granade sight and welded on muzzle brake covering the evil threads left from the granade launcher. I had a smith cut all that mess off and re-crown the barrel. It's much quicker to shoulder, almost two lbs lighter up front and I added a Choate stock to stop my hands from smelling like grease. ;)

How thick is the wall of the receiver cover? Thick enough to take a screw-on aperture sight at the back? Does the receiver cover go on pretty solid, or is it loose?

Is CA DOJ going to come over and slap your pee pee for messing with a C&R rifle that would otherwise not be legal for sale there?

It's loose DJJ,

I hope not D6, heh. What was a military rifle now has no bayonet, or lug, no muzzle tread or flash surpressor, no high cap magazine or night sight and a 18.5" barrel. It's a plinker.
