I visit this other socially-geared forum along with this one. It happens to have a politics board so I figured "Why not make an AWB topic?". So I write a 3 or 4 paragraph opening post about how the AWB has done nothing to curb violent gun crime, that the illegal weapons have only cosmetic differences and so on. I had some people agree with me but this one guy (an adamant and VERY outspoken liberal) not only said that he doesn't think we should have guns of any kind, but that in "these times of terrorism", allowing "heavy weapons" back into the people's hands will only hurt us. And he wants specific links to how guns prevent so many violent crimes a year and how Britain has so many violent crimes due to lack of firearms ownership, etc.

This guy's a real blowhard and I'd just revel in the oppurtunity to at least convince other people that he is in the wrong (I'd take far more than any of us could muster to convince him personally). So...any links?
