Just pondering if your primary gun fits like "Excalibur"? My CZ-75B fits almost perfectly (better when I get some Hakans :( ) and it falls only to the Hi-Power and the Walther P99. What about everyone else?

I still haven't found a gun that fits perfectly.:(

I don't know if I'd say 'fits perfectly' or not... I shoot the 1911 reasonably well and when I draw, the front sight is exactly where it should be and usually close to target. I carry it and I trust it.

For pure comfort, I'd have to say the CZ75 and the BHP grip is a bi more comfortable and nearly as natural, but not quite. I would feel very well protected carrying a CZ75 but I never have.

My current fav just makes me look so good when I shoot it I can overlook some of its shortcomings in re: to fit. Besides, w/ enough practice, it fits better now than when new. I guess it may not fit me so much as I fit it!

My carry weapon is a P99 in .40S&W. Even after nearly a thousand rounds it still doesn't have that "perfect" feel. I trust it with my life and I know it will work when I pull the trigger and other than my USP45 it's the toughest gun in the collection for durability.

The one that shoots best for me and just seems to "click" is my XD-9. I don't carry that one yet because I haven't gotten around to getting night sights installed and I like the ballistics of the .40S&W better.

Beretta fits poorly but I learned around it.

If I THINK about how I grip it and doing it properly, it will be wrong and point to the right.

If I instinctively draw and shoot without regard to getting the perfect grip, steel plates tremble at the squeak of my elephant skin belt.

As much as I wanted a Colt 1911, Sig, or H&K to "fit perfectly" its the Glock 23 that I ended up with. Packs a good punch, lightweight, reliable, compact, relatively slim, tough, and doesn't mind being kicked around.

I'm glad I found a pistol that "fits" me but I do miss that days when I used to switch from one primary to another. But I don't miss buying different mags, different defensive ammo, different accessories and having everything become 2nd nature with the gun everytime I switched.

If a gun does not fit me it does not stay in my stable long.

Almost any 1911 style pistol fits like a glove and points on target when drawn from the holster. Wish I could say the same for my Glock 23, it always points high.

As far as revolvers go I would have to say that the Smith L frame with Pachmyer grippers comes as close to being a perfect fit as anything out there.

The P-99 series is a perfect fit for my hand with the small-strap in place. BUT, I have a 990 DAO, which is hard to shoot due to the long trigger pull. Someday I will get a DA/SA 99 and be happy. ;)

Currently I shoot my best with a Glock 17 or a 1911, dependent on the day. Neither is a perfect fit, with the 1911 being a little too long of grip for me to engage the controls comfortably. The Glock 17 feels a little boxy, but as with the 1911, I can manage.

I also find the Beretta 92 and Walther P-88 to be about the right size for my hand. (Sorry guys, I don't see how one needs mammoth mitts to be comfortable on either of those.) In my hands, any double-stack wundernine is pretty comfortable, and they feel better to me than single-stack big-bores.

Yes. Otherwise it would not be my carry gun.

No, but the Chief forces me to carry it anyway. :(
It's a Glock 22, I would prefer a Delta or BHP, since they fit perfectly.

A 1911 seems to fit my hand really well. I'm considering some skateboard tape on the grip frontstrap or one of those rubber finger-groove frontstrap inserts for just that much more "handiness."

I carried S&W K-Frame .357s for a while and I guess I was kinda wierd...I LOVED the old-style wooden target stocks, they fit me very well, too.

My primary pistol is a 1911.... nothing has ever felt so good in my hand... the cold steel (warm when it's shootin!) and smooth wood panels I have on it... Nothing gets me like wood and steel, and nothing just FITS like a 1911!

No gun without a thumb rest feels entirely right to me; I doubt, however, a Fung-stocked High Standard would be very concealable.

Yes, I carry a Walther P99.

Yup!! I just rediscovered my P99!! :D
I fiddled with the backstraps until I "found" the one that fit best!!
After messing around with "small" I found that full size is best!! Of course, it's not for pocket carry. ;)

Sig 239 with Hogue rubber grips is as near perfect (for me) that I have found in over 20 years of buying, trading, and losing money.:cuss:

Honest to God, it feels as good as my S&W revos, only a little better.

Nothing fits my hand like "old slabsides" either. My primary carry is a Kimber Ultra CDP II, replacing my H&K USPC .45. The H&K is a great weapon that fits me rather well also, but "compact" it certainly isn't. I couldn't carry my custom Colt 1911 as it is even bigger than the H&K. I knew I wouldn't be happy til I got a carry-sized 1911. It's also the gun I shoot the most accurately, even over my Glock 26.

I recently bought a Sig 229 exactly because it fits my hand perfectly and my glock 22 did not. The grip i really like is my Buckmark .22 w/ the plastic grips. Those thumbrests are great. I was thinking a Hipower would be a good .40 for me for this reason, but it doesnt fit as well.

Wish I could say so... but it's not true.

My 1911 fits perfectly, but my primary is a Glock 30. The grip feels a bit fat to me, but it's the pistol I am most accurate with.

Not really...

The thumb safety on my 1911 and the decock lever on my H&K USP45F force me to "ride" the safety/lever w/ my right thumb. This feels fine for the first few rounds, but around the fifty mark it starts to wear, and by the 100 mark a blister starts to form. By the time I finish off 150-200 rounds, my hand is bleeding. I live with this inconvenience because in a fire-fight, I won't be shooting more than 20-35 rounds anyway!

My back-up, Glock 26, doesn't fit well at all, but I didn't buy it to shoot all day at the range with. I bought it to conceal well, and if called on, to dispatch a threat.

Needless to say, I can shoot well with any of my firearms, regardless of "fit."

Absolutely.

P14.45 (Doublestack) with a Hogue wrap around grip fits my hand perfectly. SIghts align properly. Its a dream to shoot.

I don't think a handgun can fit perfectly. Most double stacks 9mm feel like a 2 by 4 in my hand. A single stack .45 isn't much different. My carry pistol is a Glock 17. Now I can do things to help my grip. Rubbery Decal grips helps my grip. Extended mag catch/slide stop helps me work the controls better. The third gen Glock 17 feel better in my hand than my second gen Glock 17 becuase of the finger groves.

My CZ 75 fits pretty well. I have a BHP that might fit a little better, based on dry fire, but I haven't had the BHP on the range enough to know for sure. My Makarov also fits very well, as does my M28-2.

One gun that doesn't fit well, at least so far, is the P7M8. I just have a hard time picking up the sights with that gun.

My CCW Glock fits well enough but best "fit" of
any pistol CCW'd has to be P7M8 followed closely by
BHP. Then SIG 220 * Wilson KX.

Yes - my BHP with either wood or rubber Spegel grips feels like perfection. With the rubber Spegels, and stippled front and backstraps, the way it handles recoil is awesome.
