10/22 Mags

It's funny. Of all the things I'll be able to buy after Monday, the things I want the most are 25 round 10/22 mags--because they are/were way over priced. I want a bunch of those "standard capacity" steel lips mags. So, how should I go about getting them? Any guesses on who will be able to make and distribute them the fastest? I want a bunch of them as quickly as I can get them. Who should I contact? Hey, all those anti-gunners were right! I'm one of those "gun wackos" whose now like a kid in a candy store. Oh, no. It's the end of the world. So, what do you think? Where can I get my new 10/22 mags?
NOTE TO ANTIS: here's a post you can refer to under the headline: "Militia members and NRA types ALREADY planning to buy dangerous, child killing paraphernalia when machine gun ban expires."

Buddy, me and all my friends have been saying exactly the same thing.
Not steel lips, though....Hot Lips.
I have one friend that has a preban butler creek mag that's more duct tape than mag these days. Still works though.

I don't even own a 10/22 yet and I've been trying to find out who and where I can get good quality 25 round (or higher) mags.
I'd also like to know whether DPMS plans to make >10 round mags for their .22lr upper.

Why in the world would anyone choose Hot Lips over Steel Lips? :uhoh:

I've had a hard time with a few 25 round butler creek steel lips mags. I dig the hot lips. YMMV.

All of the BC 25 round mags I have are Hot Lips and they all function great. This past weekend, took my niece out to the range and ran 6 magfuls (total) through 3 mags with no failures at all. I've been using these mags for over ten years and have worked great. (Moved on to .17HMR right after.)

The heck with those 25 rounders.
I want the fifties.
Note to self: Buy three more 10/22s (gave a couple away when the big mags were approaching $200), and start working on the cams...

Ask Frank Burns that question. ;)

I have been using the same ramline 27 round plastic mag since 1986
it has over 40k through t and it still functions fine.
Oiginally paid $5.99 for it. I'm hoping inexpensive well made magazines will be back on the market soon.

This is one of the items I have been looking forward to as well. I have two of them, but I haven't used them much because I felt like they were not replacable at $75 bucks a pop.
I was hoping they would be a little cheaper than $25.00. More around $15.00. Oh well. I am in for a couple.

Are steel lips the way to go though? How about Ramline? I got my first 10/22 just months before the ban. I didn't know about the upcoming ban. But I would look at the 50 round banana mags in Cabelas and wish I had the dough for one or even four of them. When I finally went to Walmart to buy one, I couldn't imagine why it wasn't there, they had been there just over the summer! Damn!
So are steel lips the best feeding, highest life non-cripple capacity magazines available?

The guys at http://rimfirecentral.com/forums/, the gurus, say the steel lips are the way to go. But I have been hearing the hot lips work well for many people. I have a hot lips 10 rounder and am not all that impressed. YMMV.

Is Eagle still making mags for the 10/22? I have an Eagle 30rd I bought before the ban and it's worked well for years. I have a Ramline 30rd stashed somewhere that has a chunk broken out of the lips, but it still feeds ok.
