i have a new to me 1858 rem. palmetto revolver, first it has a steel frame nicely blued brass triggerguard and a 8 in barrel. i have heard that the palmetto was a good gun is it? and who made it? what should i expect in terms of accuracy at 25 yds? also is this the standard 451. bore ? thanks a lot

Palmetto has a web site. Not much information though-just pictures of their guns. I don't find any spare parts sources. They make the Root Revolver Copies the 1855 dragoon pistol and the long standing "Lincoln" Derringer.
