Wondering if anyone knew of a source for a .45 GAP barrel that would fit a Glock G 30? Seems like it would work.

I suppose it might work-------can't figure why it would be desirable. Wouldn't think there would be a market for it either.

Shooter1,

You are probably right about the market. But, it seems as though I have heard a lot of discussion about, "If Glock made a G38 compact" how great that would be! So, as a owner and carrier of a G30, it seems logical to be able to "try" the 45 GAP, without having to buy a new gun.

I see no point in buying a barrel just to try it. Gee, it will shoot just like my .45. The advantage to a G38 will be a bit more narrow than the current G30, which is a brick in my opinion, a G19 frame GAP would be great.

Since the entire concept of the .45 GAP is to put .45acp performance in a slightly smaller package, wouldn't shooting .45GAP in a .45acp sized platform be self-defeating?

BEAR,

You make a good point about platform! If they make the GAP in a G 27 size, the G 30 will have to take a back seat!

"...the current G30, which is a brick in my opinion,..."

No offense but agree with Sox on this point.

Had a 30 & a 21. 21 is still owned and a 36 r/r'd the 30.

Will say that the 36 does tend to point high if you have larger hands &/or
shoot some other glock frame sizes though.
