"Full-auto" and "burst" actuators

A couple of gunshows back I saw a table for what I guess is still the current generation of these things, designed to mount onto your semi-auto long gun and render it capable of burst- or full-auto fire. Have any of you ever actually tried one of these devices? They look like fun but maybe for just a .22 or something else with pretty inexpensive ammo!
I used to think one of the old BMF actuators, the crank-looking thing that installed over the trigger-guard, would have been a TON of fun with a bipod-equipped 10/22 and a pile of high-cap mags!

My BMF lasted about halfway through a brick and was pretty fun but it broke. It was quite flimsey. Get the GAT trigger enhancement device. It is a much tougher device that works on a similar principle. Forgot to tell you, DON'T get any of them spring devices. They generally aren't worth crap. You have to hold the gun loosely and get into a rhythm. It works good on the demo's because them guys are experienced. With my GAT, I can get single shots or whole magazines to stay on target. I can shoot from the shoulder as well.

... and where does one obtain a GAT? How does that work? Is it a spinner you just kinda stick your finger in and crank? That's what it looks like, anyway...

Do an altavista search with "Gat Trigger" and you should come up with a few pages. It's around $40 but worth it. Yes, you do stick your finger in the hole and crank. My finger's too big, so I grab the knob loosely and turn.

The demo tape I saw at the gun show for these devices (maybe the GAT, I'm not sure) made me shudder to think what this would do to my ammo bill!!! :D
