I am looking to by a fairly inexpensive red dot scope for my new A3 Flattop AR. Yes I would rather have a $1000 ACOG but that just isn't possible. Does anyone know anything about Armson OEG scopes like
this: (http://www.cheaperthandirt.com/ctd/product.asp?sku=31929&mscssid=D7TXP1KHGX6R8G22U8SS9D5NHASU5N00)

They say they are Trijicon but I'm not sure about that.

Or how about the Tasco ProPoint Plus like
this: (http://www.skyoptics.com/catalog/Tasco_ProPoint.html)

I read good things about these the Guns and Ammo Book of the AR-15

Anyone know of any other good options in my price range and where they can be found.
Thanks in advance for any input.

I have a tasco PPplus and an Aimpoint on my ARF's and to be honest I like the control dial on the tasco better. It is larger with less "stuff" in the way making it easier to turn on with gloves. Turn it a couple clicks from "0" or off, one way for low light. Or turn it a couple clicks the other way from off for daylight or bright conditions. The only comments about battery life for the tasco i can make is I have used mine for almost a year and the Org. battery still works fine.

The batts. for the tasco are easy to find and cheap($2.25 for two) at the local grocery store. Compared to the one for the Aimpoint($9.25) you will have to look a little harder to fine this one.

Darkside:
Thanks a lot for the info. As of now I am leaning towards the Tasco.
Is the site I found a good price?

Anyone else have any comments or info?

Bane, I am sorry, I am blocked from your link by my work web filter, the one I have is the PDP3 from Cabelas.

http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/product/standard-item.jhtml?id=0022042711801a&navAction=push&navCount=2&indexId=cat320001&podId=0022042&catalogCode=XE&parentId=cat320001&parentType=index&rid=&_DARGS=%2Fcabelas%2Fen%2Fcommon%2Fcatalog%2Fitem-link.jhtml_A&_DAV=MainCatcat20712&hasJS=true3

$109.99

If your price range is only 100$ I personally would hold off and save the money. An Aimpoint ML2 is not cheap, but 10,000 hours of runtime that won't die if it gets wet is worth it.

I think you will like it. It may not be top og the line as far as red dots go, but unless you are going to really abuse it, you could do worse. You will need a riser for the tasco to get the dot above the front sight. CDNN has them for $20 or so. The B-square that Cabelas has is almost $50. I have both and to be honest I don't think there is much differance.

Hope that helps:D
