I have not checked prices on those within the last 6-8 months but I would be willing to bet that is a very good price.

When I was checking around at that time the cheapest I could find was around $189 as I recall at Impact Guns. Every other place was in the $199-$209 range, again that is just my recollection.

I picked them up at $189 and was happy with the price and have been happy with the performance also as long as I remember to turn them off when I put them away so the batteries aren't dead the next time I need them.

Thanks for the reply ddc, I think I will order them. Just curious how much do the batteries cost? I have heard others comment on forgetting to turn them off and killing the batteries.

This seems to be a good price for the Dimension II. Batteries are not expensive. Radio Shack sells N batteries for $3.00/ pair.

Super Trucker,

Now that I've re-read your question and finally used my Pro Ears this weekend for the first time in too long I see that you are asking about the Dimension 2 model but the model I purchased was actually the Dimension 1 model.

That doesn't change my response in any way. In fact that just highlights the fact that you have found a very good price as the Dimension 2 model are more expensive than the Dimension 1 model given that they have the jacks allowing you to use external accessories.

As Matt points out the batteries aren't that expensive but I had forgotten that they take N as opposed to a more common AA or AAA.

No problem finding N batteries around town but I wonder how available they are out in the "sticks"...

I might try to find some N rechargeables ...

Good shooting.

I called to order a pair Friday ( from Graf and Sons Inc. btw )and they said they sold out and discontinued them (might be why they were so cheap). I will have to start the search process all over. Any suggestions on who has a good price will be appreciated.

hmmm, I just did a quick google search and didn't find any Dimension 2 prices close to $169.00.

Impact Guns has a sale on Pro-Ears right now. I think the Dimension 2 was a little under $220 depending upon which exact model you wanted. Check here (http://www.impactguns.com/store/pro_ears.html)

I've mentioned them twice now but understand I'm not pushing Impact Guns; I've only made one purchase from them, my Dimension 1's, but no problems with the transaction.

Do you want the auxiliary input capability of the Dimension 2 or would the Dimension 1 serve you just as well?

If you want to go used I have a pair I am thinking of selling, lightly used. I'm building my own special setup with earphones and 33 DB muffs.

I'll probably sell mine if the Sordins use AAs (I hear conflicting specs, sometimes AAAs)
