Any ideas? Plastic of course, drum style off to the side. They were $129. Sure, it's not a Beta mag, but I barely have enough to fill the Beta mag. Just curious about this 90 round one, since they were selling pretty well.

Sounds like the MWG drum. Fairly reliable, weird balance but not overly bad. If you're going to buy one, the BETA's are a better value. If you want the "90-Rounder" then you should only have to pay about $90 or so for it. Good luck finding one for a little while though.

Cool, that is exactly it, glad I didn't get it then for that higher price. I think I like the feel of changing mags anyways, and spare mags are a lot cheaper than $90.

I sold mine, long ago. Most people cannot get over about 70 rounds in them for a lot of reasons. The top is floppy plastic, so binds a lot, etc. Not hard to shoot, it does fit on your arm okay, just not a very reliable or useful item. Nice bit of trivia: there is a block of wood in the bottom of it. I think it was supposed to be a 100 round mag, and they couldn't get it to EVER run with 100, so cut to 90.

The Beta C-Mags are cooler, sure. But there is a lot of complexity with the "fake bullets" thing, and they are hard to clean. A lot of actual operators I know will not take a C-mag with them, as they are unreliable when dirty, and the world is dirty. The new ones for the XM-8 are supposed to be good.

I remember seeing these back in 1990 or so for something like $35. Molded plastic and a spring, 2 screws. Probably costs $10 to make at the most. Doubt we'll see prices like $35 on them again though. But if we did, I'd take one just for the fun of it.

139.95 from DPMS it looks like they have some in stock.

30 rounders are good enough for me though.;)
