Something on that pic doesn't look right. Like the slide is flush with the dust cover, I could be wrong but that doesn't look like it'll cycle.

Yeah - You're right. The safety and slide catch also looks unusual. The 'grip thickness' just behind the trigger looks too thick.

strange hammer as well, somehow, I think it is a BB gun:(

That looks like a faux 1911. The hammer looks like a brick. Also safety and slide lock look bogus.

The magazine release also looks odd.

Interesting yes, but I think it originated in Southeast Asia – not Hartford, CT. :D

Grip screws are wrong...it looks like they thread into the frame instead of into a bushing. Top screw looks a bit high on the grip frame...Front sight too far forward...magazine floorplate looks a bit suspicious. Where's the slidestop notch? Could be the lighting, but the recoil spring plug
looks strange too. The radius at the front of the trigger housing adjacent to the dust cover ain't right. Better lighting on the gun will tell the tale...:scrutiny:

Whulp . . . Youz guys were right. I went back to where I found the pic ( I was doing a Google Image Search ) and Low-&-Behold . . . . . . This photo goes waaaay beyond PhotoShop - in fact, it's digitally drawn/rendered.

Lookee here:

The more I looked at the thing, the more I thought it looked fake.

Oh well - neat attempt anyway! :)

I was going to guess it was an aluminum "dummy" for making holsters.
