This recently appeared in the latest issue of the American Rifleman...made by Sentry safes. Interesting concept to make it easier getting those hard to reach guns from the back of the safe...slide out racks! Anybody else seen these?

That is kind of like the set-up we use for weapons vaults. Slide-out rack holds 20 or so rifles and pistols in a safe that is about 5'H X 30"D X 24"W. Neat package in a small footprint.

It's kind of a cool idea, except for all the room it takes up. Looks to me like a way to sell more safes! ;)

I like the fingerprint lock. Fast and secure. The rack is a good idea, but I think the lock is cooler ;)

Now to find out how much one is . . .

Wonder how many fingerprints the lock holds in memory? Be kinda tough to open it if you cut your finger, maybe have paint or something embedded in the print, etc.

We used biometric IDs at my last job, and you'd be surprised how robust the fingerprint readers can be.

Ahh, but the question is, are the readers on the safes of the same quality as those you had at work?

Seeing as how I'm not the manufacturer, I can't comment on these specific readers. :D
