Has anyone heard if Springfield or any Smith's have modified an XD40 in either the 4" Duty, or the 5" Tactical model into 10mm? This looks like an excellent pistol for such an evolution. Just thought I'd ask. I'm not a real big fan of plastic pistols, but I have an XD9 that is a very SWEEEEET firing pistol, and I really want to get into the 10mm round.

Not going to happen, for the same reason that an XD in 45ACP will never happen. They don't want to have to redesign the frame to accomodate a longer cartridge.

Who all make 10mm guns? You don't hear much about them except for Glocks.
Edited to add: and 1911s.
