Ok, here is the situation, I have got a safe upstairs in the bedroom HD gun (S&W 686 4"). It is a fingertip safe, and works very well abet pricey. I keep the others under multiple padlocks in hard case up hign on a shelf. Way out of reach of anyone under 6".

I have always kept a pistol downstairs as well, as the ones upstairs do me no good if I needed one in a hurry. The issue is I do not have a way to secure it now that my little one is getting bigger....

Funds are tight, and I cannot afford another safe like the one i put upstairs.

Anyone have any suggestions? Needs to hold one Sig P232, perfer as quick of access as possible, and inexpensive.

Anyone have one to unload?

Thank you for you input, as I am not having any luck solving this.

Natchez SS has had those pushbutton combo lockboxes for about $30-40.

An ordinary padlock behind the trigger will render the weapon safe. If you also include a chain or plastic coated cable run around something solid like a pipe or a post, you can't shoot it or take it away.

An old cop trick is to use a pair of cuffs to a bed rail.
