Has anyone tried the Hogue shotgun pistol grip for either their Remington or Mossberg. They are supposed to be made similar to the SW 500 grip.

I've got one or two in stock if you want to purchase one.

thanks for the links. I did a search but must have used the wrong words.

I've fired one - it was a "Rite of Passage" by one of my NCO's in the Army. Not by choice again! A stock with a pistol grip makes sense, but otherwise the recoil is quite uncomfortable.

VG, that's true of most grips, but the Hogue grip really isn't that bad. Sure, there are all sorts of other reasons not to own one, but the Tamer grip is quite comfortable.

I just received my Tamer grip today and it fits my Maverick 88 just fine.
The only problem is that the bolt hole is too small for the stock washer and lock washer. Can't wait to try it out.

The hole is meant to be tight. When you are tightening the bolt, the washers will press into the hole and stay put. That way they dont' get lost. I haven't seen the Mossberg one, only the Remington one.

The grip is supposed to come with a smaller washer but my came without one somehow. Hogue is sending me one. The stock grip that comes with the Maverick has a bolt hole washer area of about 3/4" and the Hogue is about
1/2" for the Mossberg/Maverick.
