OK, so I got tired of all the free americans posting pics of their new toys, and I can't have anything... so I decided to go out and buy something evil. It just so happens that it's LEGAL...

So I go to turners, where the Winchester defender series are all on sale. Pick me up their basic model with shortest barrel available...

Then, I get me a pistol gripped forend. Then a top folding stock. Then a flashlight mount, then a heat shield!

Now, i'm in the 10 day wait... but when I have it: Oh man. It's the closest i'll get to an EBR for a while.

I'll post pics when it arrives. I want an evil looking gun too!!!!

The mere mention of such a foul implement of death leaves me queesy and frightful.

I wanna take a basic Marlin levergun in 357 and "black accessorize" the bejeezus out of it. Adapt an AR15-type heat shield for the forestock, tactical light AND laser, folding main stock, bayo and lug, scout scope, all black, the works. Do a basic "Redneck Assault Rifle" :).

"Redneck Assault Rifle"

Since I grew up in the Mid-South, I can say this...

Also Known As "Smoky Mountain Machine Gun"

I do believe the technical term for what you are building is an HBAR.

Hillbilly Assault Rifle. :D

Jim March, I saw such a beast here in Kansas City at Denny's guns. The gentleman was worried about the balence because it was suddenly hard to cycle by spinning it with all the extra weight on the nose of it. Not sure how he was going to correct that "problem".

It was very John Wayne meets Skunkabilly :D

I like the term "Appalachian Assault Rifle" that I've seen used here before.
Since I grew up in the Appalachians, I resemble that remark.:D

There are "rural" shotguns, usually used for dispatching ranch pests at short range and bird hunting.

Then there are the "urban" shotguns, more typically used for dispatching predators of the two legged kind.

You got the latter. Amazing in the PRK eh?

Cant wait to get it. Anyone recommend a good load for home defense? (I live in a thin walled apartment building...)

Dragon's Breath, perhaps?

Problem is, you're going to use rather low powder rounds regardless. Anything will go through those walls. It's going to be tricky to have something strong enough to kill a person, but not have overpenetration.

Or even target...
Go to the nearest construction sight and ask for a scrap of sheetrock and run some tests when you get it...

Just the sight of such an evil weapon of mass destruction should be enough to get Mr. Badguy wetting his pants...

Congrats. Now go shoot it.

There's a gig or so of input in the Archives about ammo for defense, check there for your best options.

And thanks for reminding me that moving back from LA to MD in the 70s might have been the best thing I could do for myself....

I'll be leaving this state soon as i finish college...

Upon that day, i'll be moving to a class three state, getting some kinda full auto toy, and also buying PLENTY of EEEEVIL semiautomatic sport utility rifles.

I can just picture it in my mind. Shotguns have been completely impervious to any gun bans because congress knows that if they start blatantly attacking the sportsman base they WILL get ousted from their congressional seat.

Thus, we can make our shotguns tactical to the extreme! :D

I should get a tactical shotgun one day... maybe the FN Police. Anyone know how the M4 stock handles the recoil?

Dragon's Breath, perhaps?

HeeHee!

Search for "Dragon's Breath", "wives", and "curtains". Ask Preacherman.

thefitzvh, too bad you couldn't hold out for the Del Mar gun show this last weekend. We were there selling our AR Stock, Grip and Rail systems for shotguns. Evil as hell. Most common question: "Are those really legal?"

http://www.mesatactical.com/news/images/red_cloud_action.jpg

We were also selling Evil Tee-shirts, garanteed to get your kid a day off school:

Maybe next time...
