Let's see how Bambi fares with THIS next month....

Mossberg 835 Pump (model 62414 combo) in camo
12 Ga 24" Ported Rifled Acu-Mag Barrel
Cantlievered Scope Mount
Nikon Prostaff Scope 3-9 x 40 w/3.75 eye relief
Dual Comb Stock
Custom Sling
Turkey Barrel not shown in pics

I'm really pleased with this purchase.
Feels well balanced.

Got to test/sight-in this week......
3" groups at 75 yards using Lightfield sabots
Hybred EXP 2-3/4" 546 gr 1454 ft/sec & 2564 ft/lbs

Tried some 3-1/2" magnum Lightfield Commander IDS sabots too!
465 gr 1900 ft/sec 3728 ft/lbs
Similar grouping, but Wholly Cow!! My arm is STILL black and blue

Sorry about the questionable picture quality, I'm still learning....... :p

Nice setup. A coupla things....

3.5" slugs will not kill anything faster than 2.75" ones except your cash and will to shoot.

Sight in and then take that scope down to 3X and tape it there with electrical tape. Trust me on this.

Have fun, I think the 835 is one good shotgun and lots of gun for the money.

3x is about where I'm shooting....

9x is to check the target :D

The magnums were for fun only. Last season, using a Mossy 500 20ga with these same rounds, knocked that first buck a$$ over antlers........:D

Slugs, including 20 gauge, are wonderful performers on thin skinned medium game.

Classic Brenekkes work as well on boar, and if Capstick can be believed, work OK on Cape Buffalo for broadside shots.

The hardest part is inserting them properly.
