Was wondering if someone here could help me out. I remember seeing this bit on the Outdoor channel a while ago about some "super" gun store out in AZ somewhere (I think), and the show said they had the largest store in the country (or close to it) and had their own Class 3 section, with an indoor shooting range where you could try the stuff out. Anyone know the place I'm thinking of? Sorry if it sounds vague, but I don't have any more info... just a foggy memory. Anyway, thanks in advance for any help.

I think I read a similar article. I remember it as having been in Nevada, maybe outside Reno?

I believe it was a private gun club in AZ.

Shooter's World isn't set up like it used to be. There firearm selection is miniscule now, compared to how it used to be.

Now, it's mostly a police clothing store. :(

Have shot at the Scottsdale Gun Club a few times.

The nicest indoor range I have ever shot at. Big, well lit, and very well aerated. They also allow anthing up to 8000 lb/ft muzzle velocity on the range. I am not sure what that is exactly, but I don't have anything to worry about.

The lane separators are huge and bullet proof glass which is really nice. You can see the fellow next to you and decide if he is going to scare you.

There is a gunsmith on site (adjusted my new Springfield sites for free) and a very nicely equipped gun store. Everything is done in teak and oak, with thick carpets, just like a top of the line golf club. Furthermore, the store prices are not badly out of line. For instance, an XD-9 is $440, where my haggled gunshow price was $429.

The guys in the shop are unfailingly polite.

And they have many different varieties of FA to shoot. And also a simulator.

Even my wife was impressed.

No... I wasn't thinking of the Scottsdale gun club, although that place does like nice. It just looked like a huge gun store with AR's, FAL's, Class 3's, and indoor testing range. It was featured about a year ago on "american shooter" and I believe during the show he (the host of the show, I believe) shot one of the store's MP-5's or CAR-15's to show the class 3 stuff you could try out before you buy. Anyway, thanks for you help, I appreciate it.

That was Shooter's World but the segment is at least 4 years old and things are distinctly not the same now.
