Just a word of caution...
I was over at Auction Arms looking at M1 Carbines and read a "disturbing" item discription to say the the least. The items is listed as an "Original, 1943, not fired except for the factory test rounds" Inland M1 Carbine. The rifle has a six digit s/n, not '43 production, it has a late model potbelly stock, an adjustable rear sight, and a type 3 barrel band (w/ bayonet lug).
Hardly and "Original" rifle by any stretch. The stock alone indicates a rebuild, as do the sight and barrrel band as well.
My concern is the idiots bidding at over $1000 for a $425 rifle.
Friends, PLEASE RESEARCH items before you get screwed by an unethical seller like this. Learn what to look for, BUY THE RIFLE, NOT THE STORY.....
Good shopping!!!!!!!
