What have you bought since the AWB ended?

To be honest with you all, I haven't bought a thing. I was going to pick up some regular capacity mags but I decided to pay off all the credit cards and get the car ready for emissions this month.

Other than regular capacity mags, I really can't see myself needing any of the other stuff.

Am I crazy?:D

Ordered me a Rock River Arms Elite Carbine A4. Also ordered 4 30-round magazines from Tapco, which I won't be getting for awhile it's sounding like. That'll be all my Post-AWB purchases until my funds get replenished.:p

I bought a Para-Ordnance 14-45LDA. It's a pistol I've been wanting for awhile now anyways. Now that P-O has an offer for two free 14 round mags to go with the two 10 rounders that came with the gun, I decided the heck with it, I'd get it.

I also purchased a collapsible stock to put on my SAR-1. (Well, I actually bought the stock before the ban sunset, but it didn't officially go on until afterwards.)

OEF_VET,

So you got 4 mags for the price of two? Did you have to pay shipping for the regular cap mags?

Who else is having offers on mags like that? I think Beretta was one of the other ones?

I've built an all-RRA (except for a DPMS lower receiver) no-ban carbine with telescoping stock.

I bought RRA's post-ban A4 upper, because the primary banned feature I wanted was the stock; the bayonet lug and flash hider are nifty and all, and I might consider threading the barrel and adding a flash hider at some point, but the thing I really really wanted all during the ban was a carbine with an adjustable stock.

My Sunset party money has been swallowed by unexpected modifications I had to make to my Norinco M-14.

Seems the 7.62 bore in the barrel was actually the Russian size of 7.62.

In other words, I was getting lousy groups out of the rifle because I was putting .308 inch bullets down a bore that was .311 inches wide.

Ooops..

So, new barrel and cost of rebarreling (on top of the cost of free floating the old barrel and bedding the action before I discovered the bore problem)has sort of taken up the money I had stashed back for the Sunset.

But, I'm starting to get new money even now.

I'm having a few AR15 barrels threaded, and I have a stripped AR10 receiver that needs to be built out. That'll be next year's project the way life is going now...

Nothing related to the AWB, as I already have plenty of 30 rd. AR mags and all my pistolas are 1911 type.

I have picked up a K-31, a Yugo SKS and a Colt NRM. :)

I wasn't all that excited about the sunset.
Since none of this stuff was actually banned, I bought pretty much everything I wanted anyway.
But, within the last week I realized there were a few things that I wanted, that I couldn't get during the ban and made a few orders.
HK AR15 magazines
Beta C magazine for the AR15.

If either or both turn out to be everything they are cracked up to be, I am ordering more.

I wasn't all that excited about the sunset.

Ditto - I don't own any guns that take "high cap" mags, except for an HBAR and 30 rounders were always available for it. I bought most of mine for $10 a piece, slightly used by the Guard. :)

I'm glad the AWB did sunset - but I was already in the process of buying a FA UZI so it didn't do alot for me.

both of my pistols are 1911 type, so no mags for those.

I have however picked up 2 dozen new mags for my AR (grey labelles) and have another dozen on order from TAPCO--don't know when those will be here. I also picked up some used 20rounders. I also picked up a new upper for my m4, a 1/7 14.5 from CMMG with the permanent phantom. can't ever have too many mags for the AR. I'm not taking any chances on a new ban. especially if the two johns win in Nov.

I've also picked up a Savage 10fp-le2b and just got my first AK the other day. a damn nice maadi ak47. also I just ordered a CMP garand.

I think the wife might be right about holding off for a while before purchasing anything else.

Wasn't exactly a since the ban ended purchase. I had ordered a STI edge 10MM back in May. STI was nice enough to run late in delivery so when it shipped it came with standard capacity mags. I ordered a few extra while I was at it.

That will take care of excess funds for a while.

Purchased 4 15 rounders for my G20s. I'll buy some for my G22 and mini-14 in the near future. I already have several for my P14, Springfield Ultra High-Cap, and a couple of Ruger handguns that I own. Eventually I'll probably buy a couple more for them too.

What have I bought?...

A new yard. :scrutiny:

Lots of grass and bushes and mulch and someone else's labor (that's the best part :D ).

So, no new Sport Utility Rifles for me. Although, Christmas is coming soon... I see a flash suppressor in my future. Maybe a new lower with a telescoping stock, too.

BTW, anyone know if the barrel on a Bushy carbine (XM15E2S) can be safely threaded for a flash suppressor?

Two Bushmaster ARs with all the evil features (except the bayonet lugs), AND...

Has anyone run into the problem of things being out of stock due to high demand?

Well, I WANT two FALs from DSA, and have the $$ for it, but DSA seems to have its head up its kiester these days. Four attempts by my dealer to place an order have gone unanswered, even after phone calls where he was told they'd "get right on it."

And coming soon....15 std cap magazines per firearm.

Only thing I've bought so far since the AWB expired was a Taurus 85 snubby, which has exactly zero to do with the AWB. ;) I don't even currently own anything other than an M1 carbine that would take a mag with higher than 10 rounds, and surplus carbine mags have always been plentiful.

I might have to go grab myself another Beretta 9mm just because I like them and now I can get non-castrated mags.
