I've been having a little trouble with finding what I think is a good method for carrying my XD 40. It's going to be warm here in GA in a couple of months and that means shirt sleeves, no jacket usually. I've ordered a Galco organiser (Defense Planner) and belly band holster (Underwraps), and I'm thinking about a small-of-back, paddle holster for when I'm wearing a jacket. But on the whole, not many holster makers are designing holsters for the XD.

If you are carrying your XD concealed, what have your choices and experiences been, so far?

I generally carry inside the waist band (IWB) with all my pistols. Here in the Sonoran desert, it gets mighty hot. Loose t-shirt and shorts most of the year!! Make sure you get shiets and pants at least a size to big to accomodate the gun!! I carry a Walther P99 or a Browning High Power with no problem!! :D

Although I don't carry mine on a daily basis (I'm 6'0" and 150 lbs..there's nowhere to hide it!), www.highnoonholsters.com has been making a lot of XD holsters. I think with a gun as big as the XD, IWB is the way to go.

I carry mine IWB behind right hip in a Blade-Tech Ultimate Concealment Holster.

I carry mine in a Blade-Tech belt holster on my right hip under my jacket. When I was in Florida two weeks ago I carried underneath my untucked polo shirt over a tee shirt.
