What's coming at end of year in California?

I'm wondering what changes are on the books for the end of the year in California, and what I might wany to buy before the end of the year. I seem to recall something about a ban on handguns that don't have a magazine interlock and an integral key lock, or something like that, that was to go into effect last January, but was delayed until this coming January. Is that still in play? (Or am I already too late?) Is there anything else I should know about?

(I already know about the .50BMG ban.)

Thanks

The loaded chamber indicator and mag disconnect on new guns submitted for testing take effect on Jan. 2006 and Jan. 2007. Other than the .50 ban, I can't think of anything hitting us next year.......other than the fight over the ammunition purchase registration again with the new serial number business mixed in.

Lockyer is now talking about serializing ammunition with lazer etching. An expensive process for manufacturer's and consumers.

We may have not heard the end of the bullet tax. Some of the other stuff that didn't pass this year we may hear again too.
