.17 HRF...Caution!!

Just won a Ruger SA in .17 HRF at a NRA dinner (Wheee!!!). I was just looking it over, and discovered that a common .22 cartridge will chamber. Has anyone chambered and fired a .22 in this manner by accident? I'd like to hear the result...:scrutiny:

You won the little .17 HMR? Well done. I didn't win a darn thing this year! One person won two of our high dollar guns! If I wasn't the Chairman I would say it was rigged.

I would guess that if it didn't cause a kB, then the bullet would probably get lodged in the barrel.

Imagine trying to clear a jammed bullet in a caliber that small (not that any jam is good).

Gives me the willies just thinking about it. :uhoh:
