so i finally finished my Dissipator kit and i figured i would post it up here.

here's the specs:

Model 1 Dissipator kit
DPMS Lower
badger charging handle latch
hakko red dot
ergo ambi grip
rail with broomhandle grip
troy folding front sight
knight 600 meter rear folding sight
phantom flash suppressor
collapsable stock

the only thing that's left to do is raise the red dot up a little bit to cowitness with the iron sights.

still haven't shot it yet; haven't had time to lately!

Cool, I like how the dissipators look. I've had good luck with my Model 1 upper, you should too!

yeah, i've heard good things about them. the main reason for going with them is that i didn't feel like spending the money on a bushmaster dissy kit.

Congrats, your rifle turned out nice.

I have always had a fondness for Dissys.

Awesome! That's exactly what I've been saving up to build. I have the lower and buttstock, just waiting on the rest.

Great looking gun, let us know how she shoots.

i went out and shot my AR yesterday at 25 yds, just to get an inital zero and to make sure it worked ok. i had no failures at all and the accuracy was good. i DO need to get a riser to make the red dot sit up a little bit more. other than that, everything worked out good!

cookhj -- what kind of accuracy are you getting with your model 1 using what ammo? I have a Mdl1 CAR upper and it has produced crappy accuracy with Winchester White Box so far. 4-5" at 100.

i only shot at 25 yds offhand with wolf ammo and i was getting sub 2" without trying. next time i get a chance, i will try it at 100 yds and let you know.

I have never cared for the dissys much, but I have to say that one looks prety cool. Good job.

Looking forward to your next installment of "How the Dissy Shoots":D

Kris, I get decent accuracy from my 16" M4 style Model 1 upper.
2" more or less with Winchester white box and irons/reflex.

Handsome rifle you built there cookhj.

Yankee Hill Machine sells a 1/2" riser that should solve your co-witness problem. I believe it sells for around $11.99.

I just shortened my 20" bushy to 18" and switched over to a flattop. I'm debating on a carbine stock or just an A1 fixed stock.

Your pics are helping with my decision.
