Are there any 20 and 30 round mags that are recommended for the SU-16 rifle? I have heard some mags don't work properly. Mark

As long as they're USGI, they should work fine. Stay away from the aftermarket steel and even aluminum mags.

You may need to take it on a "gun by gun" basis. Mine worked great with the factory plastic 10 rounders, but needed to "adjust" some of my military mags. My Colt mags had no troubles, but the Adventure Line and a couple of others need to wear in a little, usually about 3-4 rounds, before they would work. The bolt carrier was hitting the top of the mag and had to remove a little metal before it would cycle. I wouldnt bet the farm on any I hadnt tried first.
