Tulsa Gun Show Website (http://www.tulsaarmsshow.com/frames.html)

Who is going?
Where should we all meet up?
What kind of deals can I expect?
Should I bring a camera?
Will they allow it in the show?
Am I allowed to buy longguns as a resident of AR? (I know handguns are out of the question)
Is there any special laws of OK that dictate what I can buy besides the federal restrictions on handguns?

Anything else I should know?

Oh, and can someone help me enter into/navigate through Tulsa? The only area I have seen was the airport, at night, and I ended up missing the 412 exit and going to Springfield.:( *sigh*

Haven't decided yet, I'm oncall saturday night, so I would have to run back to OKC that evening. But it sure is hard to miss.

I intend to make the pilgrimage. I haven't been since the 2001 show.

You accidentally went all the way to Springfield.....Missouri? :D

Seriously, the expo center is on 21st over by the university. In S. Tulsa, the mile "squares" occur on 21st, 21st, etc etc...the fairgrounds are between Harvard and Yale which are the major N/S thoroughfares. I *think* you can exit Harvard Just south of the 21st intersection from I-44/OK State 64. Then its a half mile to the east. Anyone care to check my navigation?

Long, yucky mapquest link won't fit, so go to mapquest.com, and use "21st and Harvard" and "Tulsa, OK" as search terms. Good luck!

Edit: don't forget to look for the Big Oil Dude out front...cant miss him!

take the Yale exit. Turn left and the fairgrounds will be on your right starting at 15th St. I might try to get to the show sometime on Sunday. I happen to have guard duty that weekend so it may not be possible. If I do make it just look for a guy in BDU's. :D

There is a "loophole" that may allow you to purchase a handgun and take it home that day. Usually a dealer from Oklahoma will have something set up with a dealer from Arkansas who is there and will "transfer" the gun to him to sell to you.

Would that be some sort of background-check with legal transfer loophole? Kind of like an S-corp is a "loophole" to get you out of paying all your business taxes? No wait...that's Kerry-speak. ;)

Mike, Just drive up to Springdale and take 412 all the way to Tulsa (dont forget quarters for the toll road- or you can take the 'scenic route'). 412 turns into 244, take the Yale exit, head south to 21st st.

The hardest part of that drive is finding a parking spot ;)
I will be there Sunday with a handful of gun and knife loving friends, send an email if anyone wants to meet up.

Anybody from the OKC area decide to go? I'm thinking about it, but really don't want to drive out there alone (mostly for the boredom factor). I'm in Norman, but would be happy to meet somebody anywhere in the OKC area. I'll even chip in for gas or something. Anybody interested? PM me if you think it'd work. I'm not on any sort of schedule tomorrow, so if you are (Cruffler?), I won't be a problem.

I'm going to have to sit this one out. We're swamped at work and I need the money. I'll catch you guys next April.
