I was getting ready to do this. I'm really curious about the results. I'll tell ya why after a couple days.

Up to this point I have been straight ticket Republican, but after seeing the last debate I have changed my mind (vote Badnarik). Yes, it’s nothing new that Bush, by his own admission, would sign the AWB, but the fact that he let Kerry get away with that stunt he pulled last night is a blatant slap in the face to gun owners. Not one word did Bush say either.

Bush, but only beacuse sKerry frightens me beyond any semblance of reason.

I have no doubt that if sKerry gets in, taxes will double in 4 years, things will really start going down in flames, and other stuff I can't even begin to speak about.

What about "None of the above"?

Why consent to having any of these fools "run" the country?

Roon

Because "None of the Above" is an option. One of two people is going to win, regardless of your "principles" or "dreams". You're a gun rights guy, I assume, since you're here. Well, isn't that a principle you find important? Or would you be happiest manning the barricades when TSHTF?

Which one of those two people is pro-gun rights? As far as I can tell, neither one of them is pro freedom. They are both a couple of Big Government statists. Voting for the lesser of two evils is not a principle. It is a betrayal of principle.

By voting, you are consenting to the outcome of the election. I do not consent to have either Bush or Kerry as president.

Hmmm... another Anarchist? Finding more and more here. :uhoh:

The way I see it, if you don't like a situation, you do something about it. You vote, or get active, or yell out of the window to rally other folks.

Just sitting on our butts, typing "bad ass" and "principled" threads while we bitch about the leadership (probably all leadership, starting with the wife and moving on to work, etc., etc.) and doing nothing about it, is such a total waste of time. More mental masturbation.

We deserve what we get.

:D

When battered women leave their husbands it is not because they are lesbians, it is because they are tired of being beaten.

When battered citizens leave the world of politics, it is not because they are anarchists, it is because they are tired of being beaten.*

I went Badnarik because I like him. Unfortunately, I have a feeling that the hate votes will win in the overall scheme of things.

Zrex that was frickin' awesome.

If you are for guns, there is NO other vote but Bush - period.

I have debated, argued and explored every argument possible on this subject. While voting for Bush might be against principle, principles can sometimes be a little too idealistic - especially in the face of a great threat like Kerry.

Kerry's pure hatred for guns and the 2nd Amendment is enough to make anyone love Bush as a savior of gun rights. Yes, Bush isn't perfect or a true friend, but compared to Kerry - we have NO CHOICE!!.

If people can't get it into their thick skuills, think of it like this:

Kerry in the Whitehouse is the SAME as electing Feinstein !!!!

Are the Kerry voters here LEOS bychance, or just assorted yutzes?

Hey RileyMc,

That was a low blow about LEOs, and really uncalled for... We can be civil, yet determined to make our case.

I really didn't mean it as a slam. Only that LEO'S RKBA would not be affected by a Kerry presidency.

Sorry, Roon, but it appears to be an entirely accurate question. Based on some of the comments and views of several of the self-proclaimed LEO's who have suddenly appeared around here(and other boards, along with the "I'm a conservative/Republican but I'm voting Kerry" crowd) during this election cycle it would be logical to believe they well could be the resident Kerryites.

Add in the fact that their "rights" are indeed much less in peril and it is logical.

Gotcha. Thanks for the additional thoughts. I just hate to tarnish everyone with one brush.
