Best load for Saddam's Unmanned Drones?

Well, once again the TV is telling us about what may be comin', but I can't find specifics just yet on Tom Ridge's web site about how to best take down Saddam's GPS-directed drones. ;)

The wife got some good stamina built up last week filling up the garage with bottled water and canned tuna. She did a bangup job too with all that plastic sheeting and duct tape. Doing all those windows up on the second floor from the ladder was sorta spooky, but she got 'em done. (I'm afraid of heights, ya know.)

Just now, I've got her loading up a couple dozen 30 round magazines of .223 for her to "be prepared" around the house and while she's out building fence. I am having her load a tracer every 4'th round in the midst of 45 grain HP varmint loads. Do y'all think that's about right for a woman that doesn't shoot but once a week to be able to hit a low-flyin' drone? No problem if ya think she might need to reload all those magazines with a tracer as every 2'nd round. She could work on building up a little more strength in her arms and fingers. (We also saw on the TV all the money that other woman made whoopin' on Tonya Harding. The wife thinks she could take Tonya out in the first round, so we're gonna work on tryin' to set that up - if the drones don't get us first.)

Me, I'm just gonna carry the 12 gauge duck gun. Slip in some 00 buckshot instead of the 6s and nobody will ever know the difference. ' Wouldn't want the neighbors think I'm nuts or sumthin' by being seen all the time with one of those "evil" black rifles.

Y'all let me know what ya think about the tracer mix now, would ya? We got plenty of 'em if needed and mama should be done splittin' the rest of the firewood by this time tomorrow. ;)

Buy one of these Al beenies. The drones wont be able to spot you or read your thoughts. :)

Now I can put my .223 tracer rounds to good use. I'll turn my Mini 14 into a AA gun. Maybe I'll use my night vision goggles so I can pretend I'm on CNN.

Not me. MPFreeman and I are going after the launcher sites. We'll take MP's mini van, after we paint it black, as it has room for all the gear and the kids. Hmmmm, I remember Christmas with all those young one about, we'll take my SUV instead.:)

Why not purchase an M1 carbine for the wife?

Get the mag pouches, cartridge belt, and other accoutrements so that she only has to grab the gun and the belt to deal with varmits.

No new guns for the wife. Not for a while anyway. Gonna have to get by with what we got. We spent last of the money on sackcrete that she mixed by hand and used in pouring forms for bomb shelter. Money won't be no problem tho once she gets gig with Tonya. Got her a 6-hour appoinment set for Friday for tatoo around right eye. ;)

Not too long ago, news stories talked about the humvee-based avenger systems ringing washington DC. Have any of these systems been deployed to national guard units in other states?

I figure if a few of these drones start flying around the smaller cities, they ought to offer mothballed redeye launchers thru shotgun news for $39.95 each. Volkswagon vanagon (retractable sunroof) and a used barber chair = redneck avenger system.:what:

Shucks, I thought you were talking about the Eunichs Saddam has in his civil service. :D
Don't need no load, just fire a blank over their heads and they'll surrender. :neener:

All I can say is that in the light of this announcement, I pity the Arab-American R/C model aircraft enthusiasts.
I'll take a surplussed Russian ZSU 37mm radar controlled cannon. Now to pony up the dough for a DD every time I take a shot.

whatever happened to "back blast area!" "back blast area clear!"? from the roof of a vanagon???:what:

I'm thinking if we see a drone go over, we should respond all point and shout "St. Louis is THAT way!":neener:

I knew I was saving my old, decrepit '72 VW Westfalia campmobile for something. Anybody got a line on quad Ma Deuce setups? I bet my cousin and I can whip up a ring turret mount in an afternoon. The ultimate Q-Ship.

On the other hand, if these drones fly as good as the rest of the Iraqui air force, they'd probably be better at trenching than airborne delivery systems.

Rabbit.

I'm trying to find one of those Russian GPS jammers that all them Iraquis been buyin'. I'm gonna figure out how to redirect the drone towards Hollywood. I'm willing to buy extra gas for it to reach there if necessary.

Or you could just call the US gov't and ask them to pretty pretty please turn off the GPS system for about 15 minutes.

If it's coming in over the lake, do I have to use steel shot?

Greybeard
February 25, 2003, 10:20 AM
Steel shot likely required if Tom Ridge & Co. classify drones as "migratory". In her spare time, I'll be sure The Wife watches his web site for updates.

We had an unexpected storm over night and she's pretty sweaty just now shovelin' ice and snow off the driveway. From where I'm sittin', that evil rifle on a sling and extra mags appear to be a hindrance to productivity. Might have to figure out a way to get her that new S&W .50 hand cannon. Maybe another good way to maintain stength in her forearms. :D

I don't know what all the fuss about Stingers is.

I drank four last Friday night and I don't think they help my aim at all.

"Redneck Avenger System" aka RAS. Gonna have to study on that one. Hmmmmm.... Maybe some of the hand-cranked, dual-mount 10/22's mounted on the T-tops of a late-eighties Camaro. Yeah, it's coming into focus.... Gotta figure out how to work a Humminbird depth finder in the equation for ranging.... Hmmmmm... Yeah, and some satellite receiver dishes. Gosh, Birdman should be payin' me for this stuff. Needs more work, tho'.

Already in the plans.

If not for the GPS-guided Iraqui drones, then for the GPS-guided Chinese ICBM's.
