Inletting stock for a bent bolt

I have done this about 10 times and I was getting sick of it.
So I tried a 12"x1" piece of emery cloth. I wrapped it about the bolt hadle and pulled alternately with both hands like a shoe shine rag. A weight was on the bolt ball. Within a minute the bolt was relieved with a clearance the thickness of the sandpaper.

Sounds like a good idea for a really neat job. I always used a Dremel tool, but ended up with more gap than that.
