My understanding is that this gun is not scheduled for release till April.

They totally lost me on this one. A 2.5 inch tube or 3 inch barrel would have been fine, but 2 inches???? Wait until you see the velocity from that short of a barrel. Its going to suck hard. 45ACP does not do well from short barrels. 9mm and 40 suffer much less. But hey to each his own. I just wish it had been 3 inches.

That's what this reminds me of (ref. to an old Joseph Wambaugh novel character).
That does not look like a 2" barrel, maybe 1"?
At any rate, looks dumb. Three inch, OK, but in .45ACP, anything less is a waste of metal.

The barrel's as long as the ones on those micro 1911s that are all the rage these days. (Remember that semiauto barrels are measured from the breechface...)

I see no reason you couldn't load .45acp loads that would perform well in a 2". When I was working up loads for my 2" and 4" .357's, the speed loss was around 30fps. Not a big deal. In the relatively small space of an ACP case, faster burning powders are probably a good thing anyway.
