Comment: michael moores documentary, "bowling for columbine" is a tragically brilliant film about america's obsession with firearms. i could not be any happier to live in australia. having lived in new york for 6 months i never did feel safe. after seeing this film i have little incentive to go back. good old charlton heston gets his own. as the head of the nra he shows little or no remorse for those killed in massacres such as the columbine tragedy. he even shows up a few days after to host a pro gun rally. whats scary about americans is that they see no problem with having all these guns and these killings that go on because, it is their constitutional right. a chilling but brilliant film by a man who has had the guts to confront an issue in his own country that killed 11,157 people in one year. every person in australia should see this movie, in order to appreciate how good we have it. well done michael moore.

It must NOT be allowed to go unchallenged.

The "institution of learning" that I've chosen to spend my hard earned tuition money at has already forced two of MM's "documentaries" down my throat, while at the same time encouraging me to go see the "brilliant" Bowling for Columbine.
Just last week they had posters for that dreck all over the campus. Well all the areas that were not covered with "Don't attack Iraq" posters.

Not only that but the University "paper" basically parroted the same song as this guy, heralding MM as the savior of western civilization against the “gun-nuts and capitalists" , all the while harping about the so-called evil "gun-culture".

Looks like it all starts in the education, Creating bliss ninnies from birth. Ready made, shrink-wrapped subjects.

Geez, you might as well ask us to define the meaning of life. This guy is too far gone, kind of like the "fresh air anti-SUV" board that I saw recently, where do you start? If you argue with a fool you bring yourself to their level , wisdom has no impact.

Has this jerk read his own news. Well, maybe it doesn't get published down under. Since guns have been eliminated, gun deaths have increased 300% in Victoria State. Home invasions are up and a lot of other violent crime is up.

I got this from a relative of mine who has worked down under for an American Company.

The guy has written a masterpiece describing the totally idiotic attitude that comes from the Liberals in their, in this case successful, attempts to speak to the low side of the IQ curve.

If you want some fun, go to an anti-gun rally and try to sell yard signs or bumper stickers that say: "I'm proud to say that there are no guns in my house!" You won't make a nickle.

Why don't all these No Account Newspaper People who insist in putting their 2 cents worth regarding Firearms ownership in Australia keep their bloody noses out of it, there are enough crackpots stirring the pot here already, with plenty of simple minded people only too willing to listen, eg State Ministers, Prime Ministers etc.
If the idiot that wrote the Review had a modicum of Intelligence he would be aware that Private Firearm Ownership is currently under review by the Powers that be here and writing pieces of unadulterated drivel like this simply makes him look like a Third rate journo unable to come up with an original Thought.

Why don't people like this go over and act as human shields in Iraq, do something useful with their miserable lives !
