Badger Arms

Lots of Somalis. They were fairly popular on the arms market for a few years. Basically a reworked AR-18. Nothing to write home about. If you've shot an AR-18, you've shot this gun.

It's a Singapore SAR 80. It's basically what Badger said in that it's a Sterling AR-18. Singapore later made the SR-88A and now I think they use a bullpup called the SAR-21.

would it be possible to get one's paws on a SAR-80 in the US? Where should one look?

I doubt you would find one. You should try an Armalite Ar-180b. They're post ban rifles that are very similair to the SAR80 except for some furniture differences. They cost about $600, but it will be kind of hard to find since Armalite is not making enough to meet demand. Also, check this out when buying one, the serials are rifles with out of specs receivers. http://www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=3&f=62&t=149011
Here's more info on the rifle at Armalite

EEK! :(
It looks like somebody started to build a FAL then realized too late that they were pulling parts from the box containing the AR kit.

Maybe DMK......but if an annonymous package arrived at your home containing that "freak" rifle with several spare 30 rd mags would you throw it out into the trash??
I sure as hell woulden't......It'll make a decent militia rifle for hunting J.B.Ts in my opinion.
Plus.......it fires FULL AUTO! :D
